We are currently looking for a new Purchasing Manager. Are you the one that will take on the challenge?

In the position of Purchasing Manager you will head a department of six employees working as Strategic buyers and SQA Engineers and you will report directly to the General Manager of the product company. Your main internal stakeholders are the organization locally in Kalmar, including product development departments, as well as the divisional management. Other areas of contact is other sites within the Atlas Copco Group. You will be part of the product company management team where you are expected to represent your function but also to participate in the work to continue to develop the full organization in accordance with our vision to become The Leading Factory.

Your main responsibilities will be to handle procurement and commercial terms for supply of production material, indirect material and services as well as investments. It is requested that you, together with your team work actively in developing our suppliers and secure that we have the right supplier base in terms of cost, delivery, quality and environmental impact. We expect you to be actively involved in the development projects of new products and ensure early supplier involvement. One of the main challenges for this position onward will be to find and utilize possibilities for cost reductions.

You are expected to develop the team and its members as well as the processes within your area of responsibility to achieve further efficiency.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

We expect you to have approximately 5 years of experience in a similar role in the private sector, preferably within industrial business, as well as experience of international sourcing. We believe you have an interest for technology and experience of working closely together with product development. You are commercially oriented and have an interest in business. You have experience of, and interest in leadership and team development.

Experience in Supply chain management is considered an asset. We expect you to be fluent in both verbal and written English.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A university degree in Finance or Engineering is required.

To succeed in this role, you need to be structured and comfortable with strong follow-up of the team and the processes within your area of responsibility. You have a strong ability to cooperate and communicate. Your leadership is characterized by listening and coaching. We expect you to be professional and business oriented with high integrity and a strong drive. Your communication skills is well developed and you are equally comfortable with working with both strategic and operative tasks. You understand the value of cooperating to achieve results and enjoy a team effort.
